Four new reverse designs will be issued in 2009 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of President Lincoln's birth and the 100th anniversary of the production of the Lincoln penny.
The obverse (heads) of the 2009 Lincoln penny bears sculptor Victor David Brenner's likeness of President Lincoln with Brenner's initials VDB, as it was introduced in 1909. (see far right photo)
